Hi there,
Welcome back to this edition of the Replit newsletter! In this edition:
  • Adding a new language (Nix!)
  • Replit YouTube
  • Bot dashboard tutorial
  • Looking for developers
  • Goodbye and fyi
Oh, and if you're curious, the language used in this newsletter is... Bash
> if ! [ -f "language.ebnf" ]; then
Nix language
We want to give everyone the opportunity to code on our platform. But if we don't support every language people program in, we're restricting the opportunities people have. That's why in our recent blog post, we highlight what goes on behind the scenes to support new languages. From packaging to creating entire operating systems, we talk about the many of the steps adding languages require. We also go over why we added Nix, which is a declarative, reproducable OS package manager. To read more about this, check out our blog post.

Replit YouTube
If you didn't know, we have a Replit Youtube channel. We recently interviewed Ruben Harris from Career Karma to learn more about coding bootcamps. If you're looking for inspiration, we also produced a video tutorial on trading Etherium. Or if you're interested in behind the scenes, learn why we switched from Webpack to Vite. Of course, make sure you've subscribed to be updated when we produce new videos!

Creating discord bots is one thing, but how do you make a discord bot WITH a website? Using @Cooljames1610's tutorial you can do exactly that. In this Repl Talk post, @CoolJames1610 goes over how to create a bot, a database, and make a website that interacts with that database. It's well written, with pictures and code snippets to help. If you'd like to create your own bot dashboard, you can find their tutorial here.

If you'd like to create your own Discord bot and potentially get paid a bit of bitcoin for it, check out this competition we recently announced with 1729.com.
